Can I get additional Back Bar Fridges from you ?
Yes our parent Company has 300+ fridges for hire, we can get additional fridges delivered in for you.
What is a Meat or Fish Trailer hire ?
We hire trailers to fish and chip catering providers, and meat suppliers. The main difference is that the chiller unit fitted to the trailer is substantially bigger and more powerful. Meat and Fish products should be kept between -2C/+2C. That temperature range cannot be sustained by a normal chill trailer.
Are the mobile refrigeration trailers lockable?
Yes, you can lock the door, either with a key or a padlock model dependant. Please specifically ask for a locking device at the time of order.
When will you deliver and collect the chiller trailer?
If you are hiring over a weekend, Delivery is normally Thursday/Friday - Collection is Sunday/Monday. Bear in mind fridge trailer transport requires a tachograph driver to legally deliver and collect any cold trailer “for hire or reward". Professional providers operate all delivery and collection vehicles fitted with tachographs.
Can I hire a fridge or freezer by the day ?
Yes you can, single day hires are normally emergency fridge trailer rentals which require an early or immediate delivery upgrade and a late collection upgrade. Please ask for a quote for transport out of normal office operating hours.
Do I need to insure the mobile refrigeration trailer while on hire?
Yes you do, Normally your event insurance or house hold provider would include hired fridge trailers. As a rule of thumb for insurance purposes each cubic litre of fridge space has a replacement value of circa £1.50 per cubic litre.
Can your Rental Fridge Trailers be fitted with extra Locks and Trackers
In high risk areas we would expect you to request additional security devices. Trackers can be hired and fitted which SMS our central call centre if they are moved out of a pre-set geofence. We can provide hitch locks or wheel locks. In extreme cases we can remove the wheels leaving the fridge sitting on 4 wind down leg/jacks if the hire is likely to be long term or in high risk area.
How is the fridge trailer delivered?
Rental refrigerated trailers are delivered behind a 4x4. Therefore, please ensure adequate turning space for both 4x4 and the cold trailer. If the terrain in which the cold trailer is to be positioned is muddy, we may have to swing by a hand wash station to wash off the mud ready for the next customer. 4x4 and fridge trailer mud washes are rare, but chargeable post event.
I’ve been quoted a cheaper price. Can you match it?
Yes, as we have many fridge and freezer trailers buzzing around the UK, we often have opportunities to drop a fridge locally to you. Subject to availability we will endeavour to price match any like-for-like quotation. Can the refrigerated trailer be positioned anywhere on site?
Yes, as long as the ground is flat, level, firm, the road leading to the site will allow 3m high box trailer, there are no narrow bridges and there is enough space for our 4x4 to deliver and turn around.
Do your fridge and freezer trailers come with racking?
Our 3 metre ice cool trailers can have FREE internal racking included in an early booking, i.e. minimum 6 weeks ahead of your event date. Portable racking is a square section plastic profile which can be added to 2.5 metre and 2 metre as an extra item. Take a look at our photos to get an idea of how the inside of our trailers look.
When do you need confirm our booking?
Earlier the better, when you have fixed a date for your event you can call any of our offices or main call centres with a card. £100 secures your fridge or freezer rental with the balance due 2 weeks prior to your event. On the very rare occasion, if you should have to cancel your event, we do have T&Cs which give you your cancellation rights.
Do I have to Pay a security deposit?
Yes, whilst you have custody of the hired equipment we authorise a Deferred Deposit (DD) which is the same as a hotel or vehicle hire card authorisation. The amount of the DD will be highlighted on your written quote. Your bank cancels the Authorisation post event.
Do I get my deposit back?
Yes, your bank controls the Deferred Deposit we will only draw on it to pay for extras, missing items. or extended hires.
Can I get the trailer moved to a different location during the hire ?
Yes, just give our office a call and let them have the new location. The design of our rental fridge and rental freezer trailers is such that they can only be loaded up for static use only. The design of the insulated walls, roof, floor, and chassis is light weight composite GRP sandwich insulated panels. The structure is not designed to load and then tow on the road.
